With a spring in her step, Lily The Lamb goes geocaching!

Hello lovely makers, creators and all round lovely people!

Well, the weather is slowly improving.  The days are getting longer and the spring bulbs are poking their pretty little heads up to see if its safe to come out and bloom.  So what better time to think about taking up a new hobby – a hobby that gets you outside as a family and best of all, is FREE!

Many of you may not have heard of geocaching but it’s sweeping the nation.  All you need is a car to get you there and a SmartPhone to show you where the “caches” are – think of it as a high-tech treasure hunt.

Large public open spaces, parks, and town centres have hidden geocache sites.  The National Trust and English Heritage are also on board with some of their properties and estates having several caches hidden around the grounds.

Lily The Lamb is a recent convert to geocaching and enjoyed a spring day out at Attingham Park in Shropshire, wandering the beautiful woodland, looking for GPS co-ordinates and finding caches.

To find out more about geocaching, go to http://www.geocaching.com/ - you can download the app and even research places before you leave the house to make sure there are plenty of caches to find once you arrive at your destination!
