Hello, lovely makers and creators and generally lovely people... just to let you know that Tigerlily Makes is on Holiday as of tomorrow and will return on the 2nd August.

We will be spending the week in Lily (pictured above) our hired classic camper van, we will be touring the Pembrokshire coast stopping off at Tenby and St Davids... I can see a photo opportunity here with all that lovely coastline.

Look forward to catching up with on our return :)

Yay!!!! We are finally moved...

Just a quick note today just to let you all know that Tigerlily Makes is now in its brand new much larger studio full loaded and ready to go :) We are at Curborough Craft & Antique Centre, Lichfield on the first floor above Monty's Vintage Shop. The studio is set in lovely peaceful grounds surrounded by countryside and yet within easy reach. There is a new course schedule soon to be released via our newsletter.

Thank you to all my lovely helpers, Jo, Jacqui, Julia, Jess, Adrian and my wonderfully supportive hubby Phil. Its down to the joint efforts of all the helpers that we are in and ready to get felting.

Update on the move...

Hi lovelies,

well early this week I set about the mammoth task of sorting the storage unit out boxed everything up ready for the move. We then took all of this over to the new studio yesterday and move one of the large display units.

After the pictures course on Thursday I will box all the remaining stock and start to move this during the day on Friday with my lovely helpers, Friday night we will move all of the big furniture and workbench over ready to unpack stock etc early Saturday morning.

It will then be a huge undertaking to have everything in situ by Tuesday ready for the lovely work experience pupil coming in for 4 days on Tuesday 19th. Anyone who knows me knows I have planned this with almost military precision so what might seem a tall order will actually come good with the way its all been planned lol!!

I am so excited by our new space, its much larger and a much more suitable space to get creative, watch this space for lots of new courses and not just in felt-making either! :)

Good morning lovely makers and creators I know the blog posts have been a little thin on the ground lately, but that's because exciting things are underfoot!!

We are moving (not too far) to a bigger and better premises, this is great news for all you makers and creators as we will be able to run many more courses and offer more places.

Course will range from felt-making, knitting to felt, crochet and textiles with not only myself but our fabulous team of tutors all of which I will be featuring on the blog over the coming months so you can get to know them more.

On another note the website design is complete and is in the process of being built, its is truly fantastic and will have many features for customers to interact with... stay tuned and watch this space.

My thanks to everyone who has been on a Tigerlily Makes course, there are some new course coming up very soon that have not been run before. The aim is to continue to offer a variety of courses to inspire and to help existing customers develop further within their creative journey.

Morning lovely makers and creators, my apologies for not blogging for a while but I have been busy with some very exiting developments all of which will be revealed over the next month.

That said more importantly today a belated feature of a recent felt Jewellery course and second time course attendees Chris and Verity. Chris and Verity are a mum and daughter team who share a passion for creative hobbies, though Verity is a textile student and has already carved a niche for herself with some of her fabulous designs.

I will be sharing some time with Verity in the summer to help with a little work experience and support Verity's creative journey, I am really looking forward to sharing creative time with someone who is as dedicated and passionate about textiles as I am myself.

Well my lovely makers and creators and generally lovely people... I simply could not wait another day to share this latest post with you.

Pictured above is the adorable little lady that visited the boutique with her parents today, the little lady fell in love with the Tuti Fruit children's felt bag. Whilst they were in the shop lots of other felt items were being tried and tested and went away with not only the bag but a brooch now attached to the bag pictured above and a hair slide.

Thank yo to the lovely parents who allowed me to captured this new relationship with felt.

Hello lovely makers creators and generally lovely people... today I want to share with you the exciting journey of one of my fantastic felt-making ladies.

Pictured above is the stunning work of Gina otherwise known as Felt by Gina, Gina and I met when she booked onto a beginners bag course and I have to say we had such a great day. Gina was new to felt-making and was also a new mum for the second time but still managed to find time to do something for herself... something I feel that is important for us all to do especially with our busy lives.

Gina fell in love with felt and as a result booked on a further 2 courses to gain a further insight to felt. From there in a very short time, Gina has been able to develop her felting and her fabulous style to create stunning one of pieces which see sells in her Etsy store, go take a look its a feast for the eyes.

Morning everyone, well I am very excited to share with you a recent extremely positive experience I was fortunate to have when Sara Moseley from Sara Moseley Photography took time out of her busy schedule to provide me with some photo's for Tigerlily Makes Business Portrait.

If you are even the slightest little bit like me? You might not find it easy to put in front of the camera, I have to say that I am typically one of these people that as soon as the camera is on I freeze!! Therefore I rarely take a good photo, no I really don't. There are those that no matter what they are doing they just seem to take a great photo... I sadly am not one of those people, so you can imagine my delight when i received these wonderfully shot pictures by Sara.

I have to say that immediately Sara puts you at easy and by the time the shoot was over I completely forgot that the camera was on as Sara made me feel so relaxed and natural. From start to finish Sara was the consummate professional explaining to me how the shoot would work, whilst at the same time remain so very personable and making me feel at ease.

I am so thrilled with the way they have turned out I might actually be brave and have one up at home... well it would be rude not too!! Lol.

That said I can't praise Sara highly enough and her talents don't stop there, Sara specializes in all sorts of photography.

Chris & Verity on a recent Tigerlily Makes course

Morning lovely makers and creators, well today I am featuring the lovely Chris and Verity a mum and daughter team who attended a recent felt course together. They both decided to make hot water bottle covers and what fantastic results, Verity is a textile student in Bath and is loving every aspect of her degree. Verity has been practicing all sorts of textile techniques and mediums and loves embroidery and now felt... so I am sure we will see the two mediums being brought to life very soon.

Hello lovely makers and creators, well today I am very excited to share with you a lovely lady that I had known via blogging for over a year and finally got to meet!! Yay. Meet Vicky AKA Blush-Dolly

Vicky is a very talented and inspirational paper crafts designer and designs for the likes of Pink Petticoat and her designs are amazing. It is through our love of paper crafts that we met and have stayed in touch ever since.

Well on Wednesday 13th April Vicky broke her holiday to come and spend a day felt-making and what a day it was, it was so lovely to be able to spend the day with such a warm and friendly person and share a creative passion with another who is just as passionate as I am about creating and making.

1st Birthday Charity Fundraiser was a feltastic success part TWO!!

So as promised here is the last of the pictures from our felt-tastic charity fundraiser my thanks to Mary pictured at top and Sally for helping support the day.

as you can see there was lots going on as well as an array of fabulous prizes which are still being collected nearly a week on!!

Next event is Newborough Well Dressing and then the fabulous Susan Crawford and her vintage knits.

Well what can I say, we couldn't have picked a better day for our 1st Birthday St Giles Charity Fundraiser, the weather was absolutely glorious and people made the most of enjoying the sunshine. It was an incredibly full and busy day packed with demo after demo, the lovely Mary from Crazy Mary Crafts did a fabulous creative stitched textiles demo whilst Sally Williams from hug knitting wowed everyone with her lovely knitted eg cosy demonstration. I of course got to do what I love and share demonstrations on my passion felt-making.

We also had the pleasure of fabulous spinning demonstrations by the lovely pat who sat all day amazing passers by.

We raised a fabulous amount of money for the charity and Tigerlily Makes supported the charity further by donating a percentage from the days takings.

everyone enjoyed the complimentary nibbles and the day was rounded off with a champagne and cupcake reception whilst we handed raffle prizes over to new owners.

Thank you to all who volunteered their help and to all the lovely people whom came and supported the charity.

Will be back soon with more pictures and news from the day.

Good morning lovely makers, creators and generally lovely people... today I thought I would share with you the fabulous Mothers Day corsages and Mothers Day greetings cards that were made on Saturdays course. it was a fab day and we had a lovely group, including Sharon and her Husband Lee yes thats right Lee as in male!! it was so lovely to see husband and wife working together as a team and supporting each other and both made stunning corsages. With such lovely corsages being given away I wanted to make sure that our lovely makers had time to make a little something for themselves. after all that hard work it was nice that they each could get to take away a little something to remember the day by.

Morning lovely makers and creators, today I would like to share the very treasured gestures spent by the lovely Skye the woman and designer behind the beautiful designs known as Celtic Skye. I met Skye online last February 2010 when I was selling some of my former craft products as I was just about to open my boutique, Skye was the winning bidder and it took an age for the package to get through snail mail to her. Thankfully Skye is a very patient and understanding person and we became great friends via, blogs, facebook and the like.

Skye is a very special person whom is also a full time carer to her lovely hubby, so her time is incredibly precious and so when I received the wonderful card and corsage through the post this morning I was completely overwhelmed. The time and thought that has gone into this gift is immeasurable. So much work has gone into the card and the corsage and I believe that the leaves on the corsage are made with the famous Harris Tweed?

Thank you Skye for being such a wonderful person and friend and thank you too for sharing your passion and life with us. I feel truly blessed.

Well good morning lovely makers and creators normally my posts are full of lovely woolyness, but this morning as I was getting ready for work I flicked on the TV to a feature about Cystic Fibrosis sufferer Kirstie Mills. This wonderful young lady is in her very early 20s and without a lung transplant will not make it to her 23rd birthday. She has spoken openly and candidly about her struggles and shown such strength and bravery. An inspirational young woman who has everything to live for, Kirstie is also planning her wedding, so can we please all spread the word and help this incredible person find health and happiness by helping her find a donor match.

Kirstie's story touched me so much and is a constant reminder how we must live each day as well as we possibly can. We should find time everyday to be thankful for what we do have not what we don't have!! We should tell those close to us everyday what they mean to us and never take them for granted... life and health is the most precious gift we are blessed with.

Please pass Kirsties link on and spread the word we all need to be donors, Kirstie herself is and has already pledged to make sure the rest of her organs go to someone to help prolong life if hers comes to end. What an amazing attitude to have.

Well hello lovely makers and creators, as promised here are the much awaiting first photos of our new Katia Yarns. The top picture is the current range of colours we have in at the moment, but there is more on the way. Katia yarns are superb quality wools offering good value for money. The felting yarns retail at just £2.85 a ball and to make a small felted bag you can use as few as two!!

Katia felting wool is superb for felting and needs only a 40 degree wash to get excellent results. The finished felted item is superb and knocks spots of its competitors equivalent.

Over the next 6 weeks we will take deliver of the Katia scarf yarns which are stunning as well as some other well known names and some new ones, so keep your eye on the blog.

If you like to knit ot felt, then I suggest you come and get your yarn quick as its already flying off the shelves.

Tigerlily Makes Celebrating 1 year of Felt-making Success

Well hello lovely makers and creators its official, I have been in the boutique exactly 1 year today and what a year its been... over 50 felt-making days and over 200 fabulous hand felted projects from over 200 wonderful customers. Whoop Whoop its been absolutely marvelous!! I am in the process of putting together a little slide show of all the wonderful projects that have been made over the year so watch out for that :)

We will be celebrating on the 9th April with a fantastic Charity fundraising day with free demonstrations from specialists in felt-making, creative stitched textiles and knitting.

Fabulous raffle prizes are flooding in from very generous supporters including St Giles themselves who have supplied a fab hamper full of goodies plus lots of other lovely goodies.

Well great news for all you knitters, crocheters and knitters who like to felt, in around 10 days time the first delivery of felting wools and knitting yarns will arrive at Tigerlily Makes. Katia have a fantastic range of yarns to knit all sorts of things including yarns for those much coveted frilly scarves.

We will be taking delivery of the scarf yarns in around 4-6 weeks as they have proved so popular that this is the current lead time. BUT!! fear not three different types of scarf yarns have been ordered in a beautiful range of colours so watch this space.

The cushion is completely hand stitched and the letters have been hand cut, it was simply a pleasure having Beth visit the boutique who is incredibly passionate about making and no wonder when you can see the end result.

Well guess whos coming for an exciting day of workshops meet and greets? The one and only, extremely talented knitwear designer Susan Crawford is the featured guest designer who will be in the boutique on Sunday 29th May for the whole day. Susan will be running a half day workshop, details of which will be released at a later date and will be on hand to give you advice and support on knitting topics in general.

Tigerlily Makes will be stocking a wide range of Susan's much coveted kits, patterns, books and her soon to be released yarns.

Well good morning lovely makers and creators, pictured above is a selection of the 100% Fairly Traded Felt Flowers currently available to buy in the Felt Boutique!! They really are 100% fairly traded and the supplier I have sourced them from has actually been out to the site where the women make them and has spoken to the women first hand to confirm that they have decent and fair working conditions. Not forgetting to check the validity of the company owners.

All the felt for the flowers has been hand felted and is of exceptional quality, once in the UK the sheets are cut down and flowers are die cut.

I am just thrilled to be able to support these impoverished women and help them earn a living.

I will be selling these ready to make flowers on the website in approximately 4-6 weeks.

Sally created a lovely flower design in duck egg, the petals of which you can see peeping out and finished it with the 100% fair trade hand felted and die cut flowers that we have in stock here at the boutique.

I think you will agree that this is the perfect combination of UK hand crafted items married with the fair trade work of the women of Nepal.

The Old Rectory Broseley a Highly recommended 5 Star B & B

Hello lovely makers and creators, today I simply must share my recent visit to The Old Rectory Broseley. Pictured above is just one of the 9 beautifully appointeed and inviting rooms at this 5 star Guest House. This is the second time I have stayed at The old Rectory and it was no less wonderful the second time around as it was the first time around, 5 years ago.

Nothing is too much trouble for owner David and his wonderful team who were so attentive and attention to detail was second to none. A beautiful four poster bed immaculately dressed and as fresh as a spring day greeted us, with a beautifully appointed bathroom that was thoroughly gleaming and extremely clean. Everything has been thought of from mouthwash to shampoo nad everything in between. When we arrived for breakfast nothing was too much trouble and there was plenty of choice on offer and as much as we could eat, not forgetting the wonderful cooked breakfast which was piping hot and cooked to perfection.

The wonderfully warm welcome of David and his expert team together with the charismatic surroundings made for such an amazing expereince we are to return for our anniversary later this year.

The Old Rectory is superbly situated for easy access to ironbridge and all the beautiful surrounding villages, there is so much to see and do that you will never be board or for all you lovely makers and creators short on inspirational material. I was completely snap happy, so watch this space for some inspired felty creations.

Good morning lovely makers and creators, over the next few days I will be sharing with you some of the lovely makes our newbie felt-makers made on Saturdays bag making course. Yes I know the above is not a bag but a fabulously co-ordinated hot water bottle cover, this fabulous make is an example of things you could be making on one of our lovely courses. You can choose to make either a bag, tea cosy, hot water bottle cover or even a pair of baby booties, you do not need to choose before hand you can simply choose on the day and bring your hot water bottle just in case.

Gemma's hottie cover is just so cute, I love the fresh colours to brighten up cold winter nights, it was a great day and my thanks go out to Gemma for sharing her creation and for being such great company.

Tigerlily Makes will be at the Big Green Fair

Good morning lovely makers and creative and general loveliness's :) This morning I am bringing you news of the Big Green Fair in Whittington Village Hall on Saturday 16th April 2011, the fair plays a vital part in the village calendar and is a collaboration of people playing an active part for a greener footprint.

Whittington and surrounding villages have an incredibly strong sense of community and because of the efforts of the villagers it has proved to be a great event.

The event is very successful and all manner of green exhibitors will be there from self sufficiency to a totally green fashion show. I will be there promoting the green benefits of wool craft and will be launching a new green range of accessories.

The event will finish with a fabulous green fashion show which hopes to be a collaboration from the participating exhibitors.

With that I hope to see many of you thee to show your support for this very important issue.

Well hello lovely makers and creators, well the Tigerlily Boutique has some great news to share with you this morning. in just a couple of short months Tigerlily Makes The Felt-making Boutique reaches its 1st year of felty fun! Yes its been nearly a year since the Boutique opened hasn't it gone quickly.

In light of current times Tigerlily feels that this is a fabulous achievement and therefore the occasion should not be passed by without celebration.

Saturday 9th April is the day and Tigerlily Makes is the place to be for a wonderful day of free demonstrations, raffle prizes and an champagne reception to finish the day off in style. In recognition of Tigerlily's loyal customers and to help support local charities, Tigerlily Makes will be hosting a charity fundraiser in support of the wonderful work that St Giles Hospice do not only with their residential units but their day centres and the care that St Giles nurses provide out in the community. The day is a non profit making day and all proceeds raised from the raffle and collections will go directly to the charity.

Tigerlily Makes is also part of the St Giles Lottery Discount Card Scheme, which entitles participants 10% of any purchases within the boutique.

Tigerlily Makes in Partnership with St Giles Hospice

Well hello lovely makers and creators, today I wanted to share with you the wonderful work our local St Giles Hospices do both in their specially designed centers but also in the community.

St Giles Hospice and Tigerlily Makes are working in partnership, Tigerlily Makes is participating in the St Giles Hospice discount scheme. This is a scheme set up by St Giles in order to help those seriously ill patients and their families, the scheme issues patients with a discount card which they can then use to redeem special discounts in the various participating retail shops. As we all know illness can not only have a debilitating effect on our health it can also affect our pockets too.

These hospices are play vital support mechanisms within the local community to both patients and their families.

The care facilities includes residential care, day care and community nurses that care for patients in the home.

Fundraising is a vital part to raising funds to continue the care in the community that St Giles provide and Tigerlily Makes is proud to support St Giles.

Tigerlily Makes is turning 1 year old in just a few short months and plans are already underway for a fabulous St Giles Charity event on April 9th 2011, with fabulous free demonstrations, drinks and nibbles and so much more.

Is your Nepal Felt product fairly traded?

Well good morning lovely makers and creators, today I a looking at the trials and tribulations of finding a fairly traded felted product. Over the next few days I will be looking at Nepal's felt industry in order to raise awareness of fairly traded felt.

Pictured above is a very typical Nepal felt design, this particular bag I have sourced from a company that does not seem to offer any kind of documented evidence of entering into a fairly traded world.

We all really need to stop and ask where the incredibly cheap felted products are coming from.

We need to be asking questions such as does the Nepalese selling company hold a fair trade certification or indeed a fair wages certificate. Are these companies a member of any recognizable and regulatory body?

Over the coming days we will look at these issues and some of the recognized bodies so that we can inform and arm ourselves with the right questions to ask the selling body. We will look at statements such as Child Labor Free with a lack of evidence to back this up and many more issues pertaining to the umbrella of fair trade.

I do know that there is one company in Nepal who can evidence their policies by the very bodies and organisations they are a part of.

However many of them cannot and many of these designs are similar across a number of companies, so how can we be sure that the Nepal crafted item we buy is fairly traded, well I will be covering this over the next few days.

But make no mistake having explored the ludicrously cheap wholesale prices and the retail mark up on this, there are questions that need to be answered.

More importantly we have to address the effect that Nepal Felt is having on our own industry here in the UK. When you can buy a Nepal felted bag for a mere £21.00 it raises an expectation, that this is what the craft is worth. It is heavily devaluing the work we do here in the UK. For example I use only the finest wools, where I have had confirmation from my supplier that its ethically farmed and I use only the very best products within my felting process. Some of these items can take me several days and sometimes weeks to complete, so it begs the question how can we guarantee that Nepalese women are not being exploited?

Buyers need to be aware of the work that goes into a felted project. We also need to look at the type of wool that is going into these projects and the quality of the finished items. PLEASE DON'T GET ME WRONG!! I am all for supporting women in remote rural places and women whom have been trafficked, but we must also be aware that many women may still be being exploited by not being paid their worth.

Is a felted item from a charity a safe bet to buy? Well that very much depends on where the charity has purchased the item from and if they have witnessed conditions first had or if they can provide evidence that the company they buy from are fairly traded or registered.

In short Nepal Felt is having an extremely negative effect on the UK felt market, for example a mum and daughter visited my boutique a few weeks ago to browse the felt products on display. The customer heavily procrastinated at the price of this particular item (£59.00), I advised the customer politely that all the items in the boutique were handmade and still there was procrastination. It was only when the daughter asked if it was myself who made the item and had I confirmed yes that the procrastination stopped! After another 10 minutes browsing the mum bought the item and was happy to pay the £59.00 as I had made the item. Further more it was made clear to me that they assumed that all the felt was shipped in from Nepal and that I had put a ridiculous mark up on it. This particular item took me 2 days to complete, so you don't have to be a mathematical genius to work out my hourly rate!

We all seriously need to invest in our own felt and handcrafted market place supporting each other as artists, artisans and crafter's alike, as well as supporting our industry partners locally wherever possible. There is a need to educate and inform customers of the value of highly crafted item.

Well good morning lovely makers & creators, today I thought I would take a moment to share the launch of the brand new felt-making kits. All of the above together with the Very Berry Corsage kit were launched recently at the clothes show and I have to say that the first batch was very well received.

From the top down we have Nerisa Marissa felt bag making kit adorned with no less than five flowers, 3 roses and 2 daisies. Nerisa Marissa and Little Nerisa Marissa were inspired by my childhood memories of family days out at Brighton beach, the colours of the pebbled areas and the silvery grey's of the docking platforms are highlighted in Little Nerissa Marissa and the rich blues contrasted with the strong white represent the colours of the sea and the crests of the waves.

Rosa Rosa so aptly named again from childhood memories of grandma's visits to Spain, the strong contrasting reds and blacks of the flamenco dancers which were frequently brought back. The soft round curves of the bag base to represent the dancers curves.

Finally Tillie Tullie cobweb scarf kit inspired by my love of flowers from tulips to anomie's, name arriving from Lily in that my mascot is called Lily the Lamb.

Clothes Show Diaries Celebrity Interviews Jeff Brazier

Well hello lovely makers and creators, as promised this is the final of the celebrity interviews that Tigerlily Makes and the SKNITCH Zone had the privilege of being involved in. Today's featured interviewer is none other that the gorgeous and wonderfully warm Jeff Brazier.

I have to say I think this was the most Nervous I had been about being interviewed, however I have to say that Jeff being the consummate professional put me at ease. I was incredibly impressed by how organised he was back stage, despite the chaos of models and celebrities preparing for the next round of shows and presentations... it was quite mad back there. Jeff didn't seem to be phased at all by all this and so just sat me down and got to work on the interview questions, though I have to say I may of embarrassed myself a little... not being used to the buzz of a backstage show... I found myself spelling out my company name!!! As the words were coming out of my mouth I thought what on earth does the spelling matter nobody will see it, but alas my blunder was made. Jeff on the other hand took it all in his stride he must be so used to dealing with us amateurs when it comes to presenting.

The interview was smooth and swift but not before Jeff had created some excitement in the crowd, by giving one of my felt kits away as a prize as pictured above.

I can't tell you how lovely Jeff is from the moment we saw him to the interview, Jeff conducted himself with such professionalism, always taking the time to smile and stop for a photo with one of his ever growing fan base. Jeff is also a really committed patron to his Facebook page in support of Dads in Difficulty please show your support by visiting and joining the page.

Hello lovelies, well as promised today is the 2nd of our celebrity interviews. Featured today is Roz from Sew Much Fun in Primrose Hill being interviewed by the adorable Marvyn Williams, alongside one stunning model modelling Sew Much Fun designs.

Marvyn is pictured showing the audience on of the much coveted cushions that Roz from Sew Much Fun has designed.

Roz has a great eye for colour and design with a difference making a smart distinction between the high street and individual bespoke style. Sew Much Fun designs are so fabulously easy to make as Roz is the queen of making things simply and easy to follow.

Clothes Show Diaries Celebrity Interviews Laura Jackson

Well hello everyone and as promised the first of the celebrity interviews. Pictured from the top down, Laura Jackson interviews Lisa from Tigerlily Makes about felt-making, the process, its benefits and the must have items that Lisa makes. Following that Laura introduces one of the catwalk models to share with the audience just how fabulous a felted item is. The model and Laura took a great interest in in the benefits of a truly hand crafted item and were incredibly enthusiastic about the whole process and the stunning end results.

Lisa says "The whole experience of being back stage and sharing the buzz was a really positive one for me, especially as Laura made the whole process really easy and enjoyable. This stunningly beautiful presenter was thoroughly engaging at every level, with a down to earth personable approach that re-assured me at every step of the interview process. I have to say looking back at the photos I did chuckle to myself as my height or lack of it was quite apparent next to these tall beauties".

Laura is newest presenter for the popular music show Freshly Squeezed for Channel 4, Laura was recently the backstage reporter at London Fashion Week for the live online stream chatting to the top designers and models, Laura was the red carpet presenter at The Brits 2010 for the War Child website where she interviewed the likes of Kasabian, Calvin Harris and La Roux. Not phased by celebrity interviews she recently had the honour of hosting the Colin Farrell junket for T4 and Laura was this year’s VT Presenter on Celebrity Big Brother’s Little Brother, E4. Laura was also a co-presenter for the new music show on the Playstation Channel and the Diesel U Music shows! You can follow Laura via her twitter page here.

Clothes Show Diaries Continued....

Hello lovely makers and creators well Saturday and Sunday had a different vibe all together and brought a heavy footfall to the show. I was privileged to have close friends and family helping me out over the weekend.

I was able to take some much needed time out to go and see the Fashion Show in the fashion theatre with VIP seats courtesy of the organizers. The show was fantastic and boasted a host of stars and celebrities, I had the Pleasure of seeing Sunday Girl, Lucy Jones from the X Factor (a personal favorite), Injustice and the star stoppingingly fantastic Gok Wan!! Gok was every bit the fashionista and was full of life, it was a real treat.

The whole show was amazing, the themed dance scenes set the stage for the following fashion collections and really set the atmosphere alight.

All in all one of the many highlights of the show.

Tomorrow one of my first interviews on the Company Catwalk with a stunning model to model the latest Tigerlily Makes designs.

Clothes Show Diary day 1

Hello lovely makers and creators, just thought I would start the Clothes Show Diaries off with a pic of my stand just before we opened on day 1. The atmosphere was electric and we all waited with anticipation to hear the announcement that the Clothes Show was well and truly open.

Gok Wan was there to get the show off to a great start by getting the fashion theatre up and running. Gok was also on site for a book signing and yes he is every bit the fashionista in person as he appears to be on our screens.

Luckily we were situated not far from the Company Catwalk Stage which kicked off with fabulous catwalk shows and celebrity presenters. More news from the Catwalk and SKNITCH interviews in later posts.

But for now I will leave you to prepare for tomorrows fab Christmas Stocking Course.

Beginners Bag Making Private Course

Morning all well am just back from a mammoth 6 day, yes 6 day show at the NEC the Clothes Show Live. Will be bringing you the Clothes Show Diaries very soon.

Well before I went to the show I had a lovely group of ladies who had booked a private course. Jenny Mathews and her group of lovely friends came to the boutique for a lovely day of felting, to celebrate a milestone achievement of surviving a terrible illness.

The day was fabulous fun and I think you will agree that all the ladies makes are stunning, we have two ladies who chose the Rosa Rosa bag shape, Jenny who chose the Dolly Daisy bag Shape and last but not least the U-ooh bag shape.
